Alachua County Youth Speech Contest Winner Advances to District Competition
Congratulations to Grant Eubanks, the winner of the Alachua County Farm Bureau Youth Speech Contest!
Grant earned first place in the Alachua County contest and will represent Alachua County at the District Speech Contest on September 19, 2026.
This year’s speech topic challenges students to explore an important issue facing Florida agriculture:
“What are some of the proactive, collaborative steps that farmers, ranchers, local communities and organizations like Farm Bureau can take to help guard against invasive species threatening Florida agriculture?”
Grant’s participation highlights the importance of giving young people opportunities to learn about agriculture, develop their public speaking skills, and become advocates for the future of Florida’s agricultural industry.
We are proud to have Grant represent Alachua County and wish him the best of luck at the district competition!
